- The Job holder is responsible for providing technical expertise to project teams to ensure technical adequacy of engineering.
- Supervise staff assigned by Project Lead Electrical Engineer.
- Assume the role of Lead Electrical Engineer on High rise building projects in such case shall report to PM.
- Apply design knowledge to design projects for the development of conceptual designs in accordance with department and contract requirements. This will include development of project specific specifications, technical content of requisitions, checking of designs and calculations and approval of vendor data.
- Responsible for the engineering of particular plant or project area assigned by the Project Lead Engineer ensuring compliance with technical, commercial and schedule requirements.
- Provide supervision and guidance on all design and technical matters. Review and resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted.
- Develops solutions to complex design problems using initiative and own acquired knowledge.
- Report on a regular basis on all matters affecting technical problems, costs or schedule to the project lead engineer or project engineer as appropriate.
- Incorporation of design requirements for health, safety, quality and constructability into design deliverables.
- May act as lead design engineer on small projects. In this role have the accountabilities as defined for lead design engineer
- Producing compliant design with all local authorities (Etisalat, Du, SIRA, DEWA,DCD etc.) and obtain all required design NOC/s.
